Elite Packs and Plays was born from a simple idea — Pokemon cards should be easy to find, wherever you are.
How it started
Pokemon cards have been a passion for as long as we can remember. The thrill of cracking a fresh pack, the hunt for a rare pull, the community that forms around the hobby — it never gets old.
We started Elite Packs and Plays to bring that experience to more people, in more places. Instead of driving across town to a specialty shop, we wanted collectors to find quality packs right where they already spend their time — at their favorite bar, arcade, or entertainment venue.
Our first machine went in at Herd and Horns in Fargo, ND, and the response was immediate. People who hadn't thought about Pokemon cards in years were pulling packs between rounds of pool. New collectors were discovering the hobby for the first time. That's exactly what we set out to do.
The machine has also morphed beyond Pokemon to include specialty items specifically chosen for the venues clientele. At Herd and Horns we included squishy toys and sports cards for the Bison faithful.
